I first walked through the doors of CBC Thunder Bay in November 2007 as an intern. From that point on, I was hooked.

I worked during the summer of 2008 as a small station backfill person with full-time hours. As soon as I completed my 4 month position as summer backfill, I was hired on a temporary contract as a Reporter/Editor. I learned a lot, grew into the job, and performed a variety of tasks. Not only did I report, I shot video for The National, contributed to Ontario Today, The World at Six, World Report, as well as numerous provincial newscasts.

This past summer, I hosted the regional morning and noon newscasts, and filled in during the afternoon news run. I also had a blast working as the Co-host on the afternoon show, Voyage North with Jordan Lester. My favourite story involves the theft of a Cessna 172 Aircraft from Confederation College in Thunder Bay, then being flown into the United States.

I miss CBC already...and it's only been a couple of days. I am currently working at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine as the Clinical Placement Coordinator in Thunder Bay. But, nothing beats working in a newsroom.
